On a radiant spring evening in Tokyo, the exclusive launch event for Numéro Dix, a new Japanese sparkling wine designed for the aperitif hour, was held at The Collective Marunouchi. Attended by wine lovers, creators, and lifestyle media, the event showcased a refined collaboration between traditional Japanese viticulture and contemporary European aesthetics.

A Toast to New Beginnings: Numéro Dix

Described as an “apéro sparkling wine that colors the start of the night,” Numéro Dix is a half-bottle (375ml) rosé sparkling wine crafted from Nagano’s Naga Purple grapes, blended with Delaware (Yamagata) and Sauvignon Rouge (Iwate). With its delicate pink hue and elegant packaging, the wine sets the tone for both relaxed evenings and sophisticated occasions.

Flavors Rooted in Japanese Terroir

The wine’s origin lies in the lush, sustainable farming practices of Bon Farm, located in Takayama Village, Nagano. Spanning three generations, Bon Farm blends innovation with respect for nature. Its expressive terroir, nourished by alpine waters and mineral-rich soil, brings out fragrant complexity in the rare Naga Purple variety. The result is a sparkling wine that’s fruity, subtly spicy, and refreshingly acidic—perfect for pairing with appetizers, sushi, or even grilled meats.

Tasting Note: Expect crisp acidity from the Sauvignon Rouge, refreshing fruit notes from the Delaware, and a slightly spicy, floral finish from the Naga Purple. Served chilled, it elevates aperitif hour and complements both Japanese and Western dishes.

Visual Poetry by Nicolas Buffe

The label and etiquette design were created by French artist Nicolas Buffe, known for blending European classical influences with Japanese pop culture. The emblem—a coat of arms inspired by symbolic cartography—expresses his ongoing artistic journey between East and West. Buffe’s concept centers on the intersection of time, space, and culture, echoing the idea of wine as a symbol of life’s passage and celebration.

“Numéro Dix is not just a drink, it’s an invitation to travel—through flavor, memory, and imagination,” Buffe noted at the event.

A Celebratory Evening at The Collective Marunouchi

The launch party was held at the stylish and culturally rich venue The Collective Marunouchi, gathering an intimate crowd of creators, sommeliers, and media. Guests enjoyed curated food pairings and were introduced to the story behind the wine by the creators themselves. Tasting stations, artist talks, and live entertainment added to the festive yet refined atmosphere.
