A Tribute to Japanese Aesthetics
On February 5, 2025, the National Theatre set the stage for the highly anticipated SEVESKIG 2025 Fall/Winter Runway Show. Held in a venue rich with cultural significance, the show blended traditional Japanese aesthetics with modern craftsmanship: the collection explored the concept of “Mujo”—the impermanence of life—integrating elements of Wabi-Sabi and the beauty found in transience, imperfection, and time’s passage.

A Celebration of Craftsmanship and Tradition
SEVESKIG designer Nori masterfully combined heritage techniques with contemporary design. The collection featured handcrafted leather jackets using a unique burnt foil technique, developed in Kyoto’s Ine region, which applied real silver foil to leather, aged with sulfur to create a distinctive patina.
Other standout pieces included:
- Wool tweed check jackets, woven on semi-hand looms, showcasing meticulous craftsmanship.
- Souvenir jackets with intricate pinhole-formed graphics, offering a subtle yet striking design.
- Western boots embroidered with the Sayagata pattern, made in collaboration with KIDS LOVE GAITE.
- Winter sandals– a three-way collaboration between SEVESKIG, Paris-based AVNIER, and SUBU.
The collection also embraced sustainability, with patchwork jackets from vintage T-shirts, coats featuring traditional Sayagata patterns, and remade denim jackets and five-pocket pants, reflecting a respect for material longevity and reinvention.

A Fusion of Fashion and Pop Culture
This season, SEVESKIG partnered with legendary Japanese illustrator Hisashi Eguchi, best known for his work on the anime film “Roujin Z”. His graphics brought a pop-culture edge to the collection, blending nostalgic visuals with modern streetwear aesthetics.

The Runway Experience
The National Theatre’s grand atmosphere added depth to the storytelling of SEVESKIG’s collection. The show opened at 18:00, with the runway starting at 18:30, directed by Shingo Tatai (SUN DESIGN INSTITUTE). The experience was further elevated by a carefully curated soundtrack from KO-ney. Styled by Go Momose, with hair by Daisuke Mukai and makeup by MAKIKO Endo, the models embodied a raw, organic aesthetic that mirrored the collection’s theme of natural transformation.
Reinterpreting Japanese Beauty for the Modern World
The SEVESKIG FW25-26 collection was more than a showcase of clothing—it was a statement on the evolving beauty of time, nature, and craftsmanship. By intertwining heritage techniques with modern innovation, SEVESKIG redefined Japanese streetwear through a lens of imperfection, authenticity, and artistic reinvention, offering a fresh perspective on luxury streetwear.
Held in one of Tokyo’s most prestigious cultural venues, the show left a lasting impact, proving that fashion is not just about clothing—it is a form of storytelling, deeply rooted in tradition and forward-thinking creativity.
